Cheap lapel mics turn a decent rumbly exhaust into a fart can. Fair enough.

My Gopro only picks up the low notes, and my phone only seems to hear the highs. One of these days I'm gonna try to record with both and sync the audio up to get a "true" recording.

It's not an actual Gopro, it's another brand, and it doesn't have an input for an external mic.
